HARTWIG & BLISS PTY LTD – MACHINERY AUCTION TERMS & CONDITIONS Bidding and Registration All bidders must register prior to participating in the auction. By registering, bidders agree to these Terms & Conditions. The auctioneer reserves the right to refuse any bid or bidder registration at their discretion. Buyer’s Premium A buyer’s premium may be payable by the purchaser on many lots sold on the Hartwig & Bliss Online Auctions. The fee applicable to a lot is noted in the catalogue as a percentage. The buyers premium is inclusive of GST, and will be calculated on the bid price of the lot. Goods and Services Tax (GST) All bid prices are exclusive of GST and GST will be added to the final invoice total, unless the owner is not registered for GST, then no GST is payable. Lots sold on behalf of owners who are not GST registered will be identified in the catalogue. It is the buyer’s responsibility to consider GST when placing bids. Item Description and Condition All items are sold on an “as-is, where-is” basis. The auctioneer and vendor make no warranties or guarantees regarding the condition, suitability, or fitness for purpose of any item. While descriptions, photographs, and information are provided in good faith, they are for reference only, and buyers should complete their own due diligence & rely on their own inspections. No claims will be accepted once the auction has concluded. Auctioneer’s Discretion The auctioneer reserves the right to withdraw, re-offer, or refuse any bid at their sole discretion. In the event of a dispute, the auctioneer’s decision is final. Payment and Collection Payment must be made in full within 1 business day of receipt of the invoice at conclusion of the auction. Accepted payment methods will be outlined in the auction details. No items may be collected until full payment has been received. Items must be collected within 7 business days of the auction. Failure to collect within this timeframe may result in storage fees or forfeiture of the item. Responsibility for Items The auctioneer and Hartwig & Bliss Pty Ltd accept no responsibility for the safekeeping of items after they have been sold. Once the hammer falls, the risk and responsibility for the item transfer to the buyer. It is the buyer’s duty to arrange collection and security of their purchase. Default and Non-Payment Failure to make payment within the required timeframe may result in the cancellation of the sale, and the item may be resold at the auctioneer’s discretion. The buyer may be liable for any shortfall, resale costs, and administrative fees. Legal and Liability Hartwig & Bliss Pty Ltd and the auctioneer are not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury incurred before, during, or after the auction.
